What participants walk away with

Every outing is designed to leave you with practical skills, not just tired legs. Here is what our most recent post-trip surveys tell us:

  • 92% felt confident reading a 1:25,000 OS map after one session
  • 87% said the experience improved their team communication
  • 100% of family groups said their children asked to come back
  • Average satisfaction score: 4.8 out of 5

We collect feedback after every trip and use it to refine routes, pacing and content. If something did not work, we want to hear about it.

Common questions

You do not need to be a runner or a gym regular. Our navigation days involve about 10 km of walking on mixed terrain at a comfortable pace. Survival weekends are more demanding because you are carrying gear and sleeping rough. We grade every trip and will tell you honestly if a particular outing suits your current fitness.
Rain and wind are part of the experience. We only cancel for genuine safety risks: electrical storms, severe flood warnings or ice that makes paths impassable. If we cancel, you can rebook at no extra cost or receive a full refund within 14 days.
Yes. Maps, compasses, tarps, fire kits and group shelters are all provided. You bring your own boots, waterproofs and a day pack. We send a detailed kit list when you book so there are no surprises.
The overnight survival programme is for ages 16 and above. Younger adventurers are welcome on our family discovery days, which include age-appropriate bushcraft activities like den building and fire-steel sparking under close supervision.
Weekday slots often have availability at two weeks' notice. Weekend dates in spring and summer fill up quickly, so four to six weeks ahead is safer. Corporate groups booking for 10 or more should aim for at least eight weeks' lead time.
